Team Tanzania - Ending and Beginning - Paula Naumann

Team Tanzania has finished our 2026 Mission Helper Trip (MHT) presentations. We traveled many miles on dusty, bumpy roads, but we met many people and taught children everywhere we went. It was a joy to host Jeff and Sarah and work together with them in God’s kingdom. They are on their way home.
One of Jeff’s recent posts encouraged others to consider joining a MHT for the sake of the Gospel and for the sake of growing spiritually through the process of studying and teaching God’s Word. I would also encourage anyone who is not able to travel to prayerfully consider volunteering to teach Sunday school or VBS for the children of their own community. It’s a very fulfilling way to serve Jesus.
Thank you to Jeff for doing the lion’s share of reporting for our team. Thank you to Sarah for your hard work and organizational skills to put many gift packages together, not to mention doing most of the dishes when we ate at home! Thank you to all of the other East African mission helpers who posted about your trips and included good ideas for us to use. Thanks to Pastor Tom for his organization of the mission helper teams. Lastly, thanks to my husband, Pastor Bruce, who tirelessly drives, teaches, sings, and interacts with people, and provides all kinds of encouragement to me and others. I am very grateful to have been a participant on the 2026 Mission Helper team.

    Note: I meant to add that even though the Mission Helper visit is ending, we are beginning a new season of mission work here in TZ (thus the title).

    Praise and thank God for all you are doing in Africa Bruce and Paula. We sometimes forget about the mission work going on everyday in Africa and throughout the world.

Teams Kenya and Zambia met at Terminal 5 Chicago O’Hare airport on Wednesday afternoon. As I write this our first flight is about to land in Paris where we will catch a connecting flight to Nairobi, Kenya and from there we will go our separate ways.  God is blessing our travel thus far and we trust that He will bring us safely to the mission fields which He has prepared for us. 4 Weeks Until Take Off! -- Spreading the Gospel in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia

Only 4 weeks from today the 2026 Mission Helpers to Africa will depart Chicago, O'Hare on their way to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia. We are eager and excited to share the Gospel of Christ with an estimated 6000 children. Some of these children will be members of CLC-affiliated congregations and preaching stations, but most of them will not be. For many, this will be the first time they have heard a clear Law and Gospel presentation of the Bible's story of salvation.  Due to the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda, Team Kenya will not be making their planned stops in Uganda. We are saddened by this, but we trust that while man has a plan, God has a purpose. He promises to work even this out for the good of His people. We are closely monitoring the status of the outbreak, but at the time of this writing, there is no safety concerns nor travel restrictions to Kenya, Tanzania, or Zambia.
